Instructions Updates - September 2026

It's that time of year again to bring our instructions up-to-date.

Every instruction document for our reusable stencil products was updated and uploaded to our downloads page after a series of format changes, corrections, and edits to improve your experience.

We wanted to make navigation easier, so we put an emphasis on each section by using ALL CAPS instead of just bold.

Finding the appropriate colors for these paints is a bit of a mess when considering availability from multiple retailers. Following the format of the recently updated color guide, stars were added next to the names of Rapco branded paints, indicating that they're readily available from us.

While the light-based options for each paint color work well on the color guide, we received feedback indicating that having each of the three lighting conditions in the instruction colors was confusing.

The most immediately accurate color of the three, 2700K warm white, was processed in image editing software to produce an aggregate solid color that could be used instead of the raw photos, for greater simplicity. Additionally, the size of the color on the page was increased for greater visibility.

With one look at the new instructions, a customer can understand "I need a dark green color for this layer" instead of having to cross-reference the color guide.

The "applications" section was also revised, with  separate sections created for each colorway as a means to keep things neat and easy to understand.

In addition to these universal formatting changes, there were also drastic revisions to color recommendations that were desperately needed. As we continue to acquire and test new paint colors, our recommendations are bound to change to higher quality options.

Some great examples are our newly stocked Rapco RAL 7021 and 112 Gray Primer, which were a huge help for a lot of urban colorways of patterns.

Beyond this, some minor corrections of grammatical errors and small changes of certain patterns history and applications sections were made, one example being a small expansion of the Vietnam Tiger Stripe history section.

Please note that physical instructions included with newly purchased stencils will slowly adapt to these changes. Many of our patterns are pre-packaged with printed instructions, and it would be a massive waste of material to re-print and re-pack all of these products.

Thank you for your continued business and support. Our #1 goal is to maintain the highest quality experience for our customers, and we hope this routine update reflects our commitment to that goal. If you have any questions, please reach out via our contact page.
